What You Need to Complete the TWAC Online
Have these details ready before you start. The form takes 5β10 minutes when you have everything at hand.
Personal Information
- Valid passport (number, expiry date, issuing country)
- Full legal name exactly as it appears in your passport
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Email address (for QR code delivery)
- Occupation and phone number
Travel Information
- Flight number and airline name
- Arrival date and port of entry (airport or seaport)
- Planned departure date from Taiwan
- Purpose of visit (dropdown: tourism, business, visiting relatives, transit, study, other)
- If visiting relatives: your relative's full name and Taiwanese mobile number (required)
- Full accommodation address (hotel name + complete address, or host full name, address and phone)
- Visa number and expiry date (ONLY if you hold a Taiwan visa - visa-exempt travelers skip this section)

Passport Validity Requirements
- Must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Taiwan
- Most airlines require at least 6 months of validity beyond your return date
- Expired or damaged passports will result in denied boarding or entry
- Apply for passport renewal well before travel if validity is close to expiry
- Children and infants must have their own valid passport
Check your passport expiry date now. If your passport expires within 6 months of your return date, renew it before booking flights.
Children and Infants - TWAC Requirements
- Every traveler including infants must have their own TWAC submission
- A parent or guardian can submit the TWAC for up to 16 travelers in one session
- Each child receives their own individual QR code
- Children must have their own valid passport - there are no exceptions
If a child is traveling without both parents, consider carrying a notarized parental consent letter, although this is not strictly required by Taiwan immigration.
Health and Vaccination Requirements
- As of 2026, Taiwan has no mandatory vaccination requirements for entry
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you are traveling from or through a yellow fever risk country (applies to travelers from sub-Saharan Africa or South America)
- No COVID-19 related entry restrictions currently in place
- Taiwan's Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website has current health advisories
Taiwan Customs Duty-Free Allowances

⚠ Agricultural products: Bringing unauthorized meat, fresh fruit, vegetables or plant products into Taiwan is prohibited and carries a fine of up to NT$1,000,000. Declare all food items on your customs declaration.

- Endangered species products (CITES-protected wildlife)
- Firearms, ammunition and explosives (without authorization)
